The Salvation Army is passionately committed to eradicating poverty and caring for people who are struggling.
The Salvation Army is working to address the dehumanizing scourge of poverty and injustice and educate the public about what it means to live in poverty – and what they can do to help.
Our Community and Family Services operates a food bank which is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 11:00 am to 2:00 pm – no appointment necessary. The food bank is located in the church building located at 500 York Street. Clients enter via the parking lot off Fifth Street.
In addition to our food bank, we offer a back to school program, school lunch bag program, winter warmth program, emergency disaster services, as well as provide practical family assistance including clothing, furnishings and emotional support.
